OK, so yes, I am a bit of a musical theatre fan - don't hold it against me. I was struggling to get going with my first blog post, when Julie Andrews popped into my head.....So I thought I'd begin with where Evolve has come from.
I guess its all happened quite organically. I feel over the last year in particular, I have been on a bit of a journey, or evolution. Post 30, second baby, pretty bad post-natal depression, back to work and trying to juggle the hustle and bustle of life with a busy toddler and a Primary School Child, incredibly busy husband and then my job.... needless to say it hasn't been a great balance.
I'd always assumed that I would go out on my own 'one-day', with both Parents having been self employed, and both sets of Grandparents, and all my Aunts & Uncles, its definitely in my genes. But, seriously, when on earth is the right time to give up your permanent, stable job, which you do enjoy, with great work colleagues and decent workplace benefits???
After a close friend told me about a new employee engagement programme which has been achieving fantastic results globally and no one in Northern Ireland yet had the licence, I thought I would find out more. And after what has felt like umpteen webinars, skype calls and much deliberation I decided 'one-day' had come... no time like the present! I was going to seize the day, feel the fear and do it anyway.... pretty bloomin petrified but very excited about what lies ahead for me and Evolve.
